Margaret Hickman and Jan Powell met through their work with Parentline Plus. They are experienced, trained parent facilitators and coaches. They both have humanities degrees and certificates in counselling, and have worked for 30 years in the voluntary and healthcare management sectors.
Margaret has been trained by the leading UK parent/teen coach Sarah Newton and also by the leading-edge law of attraction coach Eva Gregory. Margaret is also a Strategic Attraction Coach. Margaret is a working mother who is well aware of the challenges facing parents and she knows from her own experience how coaching and being a coach can transform people’s lives.
Jan, also a working mother and a graduate of the National Academy for Parenting Practitioners, has been involved in setting up parenting groups and running courses covering a wide range of issues. Jan is a reflexologist and believes passionately in a holistic approach in her work with parents. Jan is also qualified in adult education and NLP. Jan has lived overseas and has family experience of the challenges associated with learning difficulties, in particular dyslexia. Jan’s own parenting journey has been helped enormously by the coaching and training she has received.
